If you are a UK taxpayer and make a Gift Aid donation, this means that the Oundle School Foundation can claim an extra 28p for each £1 you give via tax relief at no extra cost to you.                                                  

For example, if you give £10, the Foundation will claim an additional £2.80 from the Inland Revenue. In this way, a gift of £100 becomes £128.

If you are a basic rate taxpayer, it stops there. But if you are a higher rate taxpayer you can reclaim for yourself a further 23p in the pound when you submit your annual tax return.
