Have you forgotten about fives since you left Oundle?
Fives-playing around the country is still going strong, and many people are coming back to the courts after a long absence - so don't let that deter you! Many players don't reach their best until well into their forties, and players in their sixties are still regulars on court playing people half their age.

As well as tournaments for schools, students and under-25s, the Rugby Fives Association (RFA) also holds regional and national tournaments, including tournaments for Veterans (the over 45s), Vintage (over 55s) and Masters (over 65s). If you live in England or Scotland you may well find that there is fives played near you by members of one of the regional fives clubs which are found throughout the country, and you can find the full details of the various clubs on the RFA website, http://www.rfa.org.uk/Playing.htm.

The OO Fives Club plays social fixtures and matches against Oundle School and staff, in particular during the Multi-Sports Weekend each March.
The School's fives playing continues to improve, ably managed by fives master Tony Burrows and, with more young fives playing OOs, these matches should continue to be greatly enjoyed by those who make it back, as is the beer afterwards.
However long it is since you last played, I would be keen to hear from you and am hoping to put together more OO fives fixtures against other clubs, in particular at the RFA Old Boys Tournament held in London in October.
So if you are playing at the moment or you would like to start playing again, even if it is many years since you last did so, please get in contact with me at home on 0208 675 4725 or on my mobile, 07733 223906.
